USA Visa MUST be completed online
Are you thinking of visiting the United States of America? If so you are going to need a visa. And what is more you will need to fill the visa application out online.
Not only that but you will need to ensure the following:
- Your Internet browser must support 128-bit encryption.
- If you are using Internet Explorer (Windows), the minimum version that will work with this site is version 5.0, with service pack 2.
- If you are using Netscape, the minimum version that will work with this site is version 6.2.
- You must also have Adobe Acrobat Reader version 5.0 or higher installed on your PC in order to download and print the completed application form. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader version 5.0 or higher, you may download a copy from Adobe’s web site.
- You should use either an ink-jet or laser printer to print the completed application form.
Now assuming that you have all that sorted out in your own head, you will then proceed to filling out the online forms. Unfortunately you cannot print it out, fill it in, sign it and post it. You must fill it in online then print, sign, stuff, stick, stamp and post.
Fortunately:
Notice 22 C.F.R.6 41.103 requires an applicant to sign and submit his or her own nonimmigrant visa application unless otherwise exempt. Although the applicant may receive assistance from a third party in preparing the application, the applicant is required to click the “Sign and Submit” button at the end of the application. The applicant’s failure to sign the application may result in a termination of the application.
You know what Churchill said about The English and the Americans being “…two nations seperated by a common language”? I wonder what he would have made of computer instructions.
By all means feel free to give me a call on 07017 343434 if you want me to translate any of this into plain English.
